Company Funding

The Florida Institute turns Florida technology into Florida companies and Florida jobs. Capital is one of the tools the Institute uses to help qualified Florida-based technology companies build and grow in the state.

Florida First Check

Florida First Check extends the Institute’s mission to day one of a company’s life. It is the earliest-stage option in Florida’s capital continuum, providing first checks of $75,000–$100,000 for the state’s earliest-stage technology founders. Managed by Florida Funders, the program also connects founders with company-building support, executive networks, and Florida’s universities and research institutions.
