Peerfit Wins Healthcare Innovation Award
Last month's Synapse Summit did not disappoint. This year as a virtual experience, innovators, investors, and other personalities of Florida's start-up community used the opportunity to connect and inspire each other. Each day participants were able to get insight into various growing industries through the presentations of selected guest speakers. The event was concluded with the first-ever Synapse Innovation Awards, which were handed out in eight categories: health care, clean tech, cybersecurity, defense, entertainment, community impact, and emerging tech. Our portfolio company Peerfit was able to walk away with the Healthcare Innovation Award for its redefining approach to corporate wellness.

Apply Today to Present at the Florida Venture Aerospace Innovation and Tech Forum
The Florida Venture Forum and Space Florida will host the annual Aerospace Innovation & Tech Forum on June 10, 2021. This virtual half-day event will feature aerospace and innovative tech companies from related industries. All presenters are competing for $100,000 accelerating innovation prize awards. As aerospace is an ever-growing field in Florida, this event allows broadening the spectrum of early-stage aeronautical companies operating or planning to relocate to Florida.

Chattr Secures Partnership with Bealls Outlet
This is the first significant partnership for the Tampa-based company specializing in streamlining the hiring process for hourly employees. This one-year partnership will benefit both companies as it helps with the rehiring process for the over 500 nationwide Bealls stores in the aftermath of the pandemic. Jim Schimpf, Chattr's founder and CEO said, "We want to make an impact on the industries and help reunite the industries; that's our rallying cry. And if we can be a solution to help that occur, that's a big win for us — to help people get back to work and get open and fully staffed, so they can operate at pre-Covid levels and deliver pre-Covid services. Founder and CEO Dan Rua Gives Insight on Admiral
As part of the Florida Venture Capital Conference, Dan Rua, Admiral founder and CEO, was interviewed about the company history, the funding they received from Florida investors, the record-breaking year 2020, and its mission moving forward. Admiral’s business is in visitor relationship management, which is concerned with the question of how the internet will pay for itself in the future, even with ad-blockers and destruction of third-party cookies.

BioFlorida Virtual Event Coming Up
The life sciences industry in Tampa Bay has been experiencing significant growth over the past year. The Tampa Bay chapter of BioFlorida is hosting a virtual event on April 22. Attendees will have the opportunity to network and get a virtual tour showcasing the recent expansion of academics, research, and tech transfer at USF, as well as the Universities start-up and residence companies.
