TSO Life Raises New Round of Funding

 

The Institute recently invested in TSO Life as part of a new round of financing led by Florida Funders. The company,  based in Tampa, delivers a unique approach to legacy preservation through a tech - enabled program for the 65,000 senior living agencies in the United States. TSO Life provides an easy-to-use mobile app that allows caregivers to record a resident’s life story, and provides the residents and their families with an engaging online platform that displays their recorded life stories. Mend VIP Offers Customized Telehealth Platform to Support Providers, Patients

Mend VIP, funded by the Institute in 2016, offers a cloud-based healthcare communication solution that enables patients and providers to connect and share files, messages, assessments, photos and data. The customized intake platform includes telemedicine, appointment reminders, patient scheduling, and digital patient intake forms to take existing workflows and processes to the Web. Mend solves the no-show problem by changing the way providers communicate and engage with patients. Text and email reminders, patient self-scheduling, patient rescheduling, and telemedicine are increasing compliance, keeping patients healthier while providing instant revenue growth. VetCV’s Easy-to-Use App Provides Information and Resources for Life Success

 

Pensacola-based VetCV is made up of a dedicated group of Veterans and patriots who are committed to helping America’s heroes. Funded by the Institute in 2017, VetCV provides a companion app that helps members of the military manage their careers, healthcare, and benefits associated with military service. The company uses artificial intelligence and other technology to help Veterans,  active-duty members of the military, and their families navigate the complex transitions associated with serving in the military, helping them to take control of their lives, giving them a place to tell their stories, and enabling them to streamline their day-to-day activities.

Structural Composites Leader Appointed to Congressman Bill Posey’s Business Advisory Board

Scott Lewit, President of Structural Composites, Inc. has been tapped to serve on Congressman Bill Posey’s Business Advisory Board.  Congressman Posey (R) is currently serving his fifth term and represents Florida’s 8th Congressional District, which encompasses all of Brevard and Indian River Counties, and a small portion of Orange County.
 
Structural Composites has developed a proven track record of innovation and service in the composites industry, expanding its customer base across marine, aerospace, recreation, defense, and transportation industries. The company has won several federal grant awards and received matching funds from the Institute in 2010. Lewit has been very active with the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the American Boating Congress for over 15 years, and his efforts in Small Business Innovation have earned national and global attention.
